‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk to Surur al-Saltanah
‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)'s letter to Surur al-Saltanah, writing about the relationships of men and women in Europe, that Iranian men dismiss their own wives and look for love and pleasure outside of their marriage while it is different in Europe, as men and women love each other and they prefer to spend their time with each other rather than with others. However, this is not Iranians' fault either, as they sometime are married when they are five or six, without their personal choice. ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk to Surur al-Saltanah
‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah about expecting her letter and finally receiving it, about her eye pain, how he misses her, and how he cannot continue without her. He then talks about a dispute between Salar and the family of a Mujahid [fighter], and also the possible governance of Turbat by Salar. ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash)'s letter to Surur al-Saltanah, talking about being busy in Majlis, and seeing a play by the Frank Company. He is sending a postcard that he has purchased from the theatre. ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah and tells her that he is sending her a shawl, a turquoise ring, a pair of diamond earrings, and a turbah that he has blessed in Khurasan; he had purchased them all in Mashhad. ‘Abd al-Husayn Mu‘azzaz al-Mulk (Taymurtash) writes to Surur al-Saltanah about a misunderstanding between them. He expresses his love for Surur and refers to a photograph sent by Surur that he has sent her back without looking at it. He apologizes for his letter that was written before knowing Surur's intention for sending the photograph which apparently has been partly a joke and partly to test him.
